ABOUT
About Feida Wang
I’m Feida Wang — many people call me Bruce — a software engineer based in Melbourne. AFFLATUS is my personal studio: I design, build and ship working software with coding agents, and publish the research and writing that comes out of it.
I like problems that sit between disciplines, where an interface, a data pipeline, a financial model and a piece of writing all have to agree. Everything here is a working product rather than a mock-up, and the research pages say where their numbers come from.
Highlights
- Built this bilingual site on my own with coding agents, from interface design and front end to data pipelines and deployment.
- Run automated data refreshes for markets, macro events and daily astronomy, each checked before it is published.
- Research the AI industry and US markets, keeping measurements, disclosures, calculations and hypotheses separate.
- Wrote a 24-week bilingual course on building useful tools with AI, and serialise original novels in Chinese.
What I’m working on
- AI Observatory
An atlas of the companies and frontier models building AI, from agentic coding to the path to AGI.
- Fed Watch
Federal Reserve decisions, US fiscal policy and how they reach the AI industry, with dated primary sources.
- Course
A 24-week course: build useful tools, verify AI agents, then deploy, recover and improve them.
- Stories
Original serialised fiction in Chinese, with reading progress kept on your device.
